At Clermont Tennis Academy, we take great pride in our young athletes' hard work and dedication to the sport, and this week, we are excited to highlight one of our rising stars: Emily Sookraj!

Emily competed in the Level 7 Winter Park Tournament at Winter Park Tennis Center, and she showed incredible perseverance and skill against a strong lineup of competitors.

Tournament Recap

• First Round: Emily started strong with a solid 4-2 victory over Maria C., setting the tone for the day with her aggressive play and consistent groundstrokes.
• Second Round: She faced a tough match against Jenna R., putting up a great fight but ultimately coming up short.
• Third Round: Emily battled Presley S., giving her all in a closely contested match but was unable to secure the win.
• Fourth Round: In her final match, she showed determination against Antonella B., learning valuable lessons to bring into future tournaments.

A Champion’s Mindset

While Emily didn’t take home the top prize, her mental toughness, resilience, and sportsmanship throughout the tournament were outstanding. She continues to develop her game, and this experience will only make her stronger. Her ability to stay composed and fight for every point is what sets her apart.

We are so proud of Emily for representing Clermont Tennis Academy with passion and dedication. We know this is just the beginning for her, and we can’t wait to see what she accomplishes next!
