The 13 & Under Under Green Dot Ball Class at Lake County Tennis Academy is an intermediate-level program designed for children up to the age of eleven-fourteen. It features the use of green dot balls, which are slightly softer and slower than standard tennis balls, but faster than the orange balls used in earlier programs. This makes them perfect for intermediate players who are transitioning to the standard game. The classes are conducted on a full-size 78-foot court, mirroring professional tennis dimensions, which prepares the young athletes for future competitive play. Each session lasts for 1.5 hours and occurs twice a week, providing substantial time to deepen their understanding and mastery of the game.
This program sharpens the technical skills learned in previous classes and introduces more complex aspects of tennis, including enhanced stroke techniques, strategic shot placement, and a deeper understanding of game dynamics. The focus extends to improving physical conditioning, agility, and speed, ensuring that students can handle the increased demands of playing on a full-size court. Through a mix of drills, match play, and tactical lessons, the Green Dot Ball Class helps students refine their tennis abilities while fostering a deeper love for the sport. The curriculum is designed to challenge students, promoting both personal and athletic growth, and preparing them for advanced training and competition.
